How to choose waterproof sealing silicone grease

1. Whether there are food grade requirements.

2. Material of the use part: Be sure to find out the material that the sealing part may contact. Although silicone grease is compatible with most rubbers, silicone grease is incompatible with silicone rubber. For example, silicone grease will cause silicone rubber to swell to a certain extent, which is not allowed in some cases. 

3. Good sealing and lubricity. Generally, sealing has a lot to do with the adhesion of oil. For parts with high sealing requirements, grease with good adhesion is generally selected, and for parts with high rotation speed, grease with good lubricity should be selected. 

4. Distinguish whether the parts that need sealing and lubrication are static seals or dynamic seals. The silicone grease selected in the two cases will also be different. Static seal: There is no relative motion friction or frequent movement in the sealing part. For example, the sealing rings at valves and cables are mostly static seals. Dynamic seal: There is relative motion in the sealing part, such as the piston of the water pump and the piston of the air pump are dynamic seals. 

5. Working temperature: Silicone grease has excellent high and low temperature performance.
