    In the high-temperature battlefield of industrial equipment, the performance of lubricating materials directly determines the "life and death" of the equipment. The operating temperature of traditional mineral greases and synthetic greases is firmly limited to the range of 150℃-200℃. Once the critical temperature is exceeded, rapid decomposition and evaporation will not only shorten the lubrication cycle, but may also cause fatal failures such as bearing jamming and component damage. Jialede perfluoropolyether high-temperature grease redefines the high-temperature lubrication standard with four hard-core performances.



1.Across the temperature difference limit of -60℃ to 300℃ From extremely cold industrial refrigeration equipment to the surrounding of high-temperature furnaces, Jialede perfluoropolyether grease always maintains stable rheological properties. Perfluoropolyether lubricant is a synthetic lubricant with good temperature, corrosion and chemical resistance, mainly used for oil film lubrication of machinery under high temperature, high load, strong acid, strong alkali and strong oxidizing agent environment, such as turbocharger, vacuum pump and high temperature furnace.


Perfluoropolyether lubricant is usually difficult to dissolve in conventional organic solvents, including petroleum ether, benzene, toluene, acetone, ethyl acetate and so on. However, it can be dissolved by strong solvents such as benzene nitrate, trichloroethylene and chloroform. In practice, perfluoropolyether lubricants usually do not need to be dissolved and can be used directly.


Note: When handling PFPE lubricants, contact with oxygen, gaseous forms of chloride ions and fluoride should be avoided to avoid explosion or toxic gas release.


The molecular structure of PFPE lubricants and hydrocarbon lubricants is basically similar, but in the PFPE molecule the fluorine atom replaces the hydrogen atom, thus replacing the c-H bond in hydrocarbons with the stronger c-F bond. And the existence of c-o and c-c strong covalent bonds, as well as the characteristics of PFPE molecular neutrality, so that PFPE has a high thermal and oxidative stability and good chemical inertia and insulation properties. The larger molecular weight PFPE also has low volatility, a wide liquid temperature range and excellent viscosity-temperature characteristics. In addition, the key physicochemical properties of PFPE polymers include: detection stability, biological inertness, low surface energy, good lubricity and compatibility with plastics, metals and elastomers.


Properties of perfluoropolyethers


The main chain of perfluoropolyether is composed of -CF2-O-CF2- such ether chain, different from -CF2CF2CF2- perfluoroolefin chain, it has the flexural property, the The glass transition temperature is low, and the temperature range of the co-liquid (freezing point to boiling point) is extremely wide. On the other hand, due to the strong electron-absorbing effect of elemental fluorine, the polymer does not exhibit etheric properties, so it has excellent heat resistance, chemical stability, oxidative stability and complete noncombustibility.


However, this substance lacks hygroscopicity and is insoluble in organic solvents, and is only miscible in perfluoro oil or Fluoron 113 (tri-atmosphere trifluoroethane). This property makes it virtually harmless to plastics and rubber.





Perfluoropolyether has a high specific gravity but low surface tension and refractive index, possessing the characteristics of perfluorinated compounds, and is a highly transparent oil substance. It has a very high LD56 value in an oral acute toxicity test on mice and has no accumulation in living organisms, so it is almost non-toxic. However, when decomposition occurs, extremely toxic substances are produced. When using in an environment where decomposition is expected to occur, it is necessary to install air-ventilating equipment and not to take this fluorine oil lightly because it is stable.

In modern industrial testing, every test data point is crucial to product reliability and safety. When a 7005 bearing in a piece of bearing testing equipment worth $500,000 is required to operate continuously for hundreds of hours at ultra-high speeds of 15,000 rpm and temperatures of 350°C, conventional greases often struggle. Jialede's perfluoropolyether grease, specifically developed for these extreme conditions, is becoming a key guarantee for reliable operation of the testing equipment.

Bearing testing equipment places extremely stringent demands on lubricants. At 15,000 rpm, the 7005 bearing generates extremely high shear rates and centrifugal forces between the rolling elements and raceways. The operating temperature of 350°C far exceeds the tolerance of fluoropolymer grease. Hundreds of hours of continuous operation require the grease to possess exceptional durability and stability. Any lubrication failure can lead to skewed test data and even damage testing equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Recently, Jialede developed a wide-temperature-range high-performance product based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) grease to address the harsh operating conditions of needle bearings in customers' air compressor main units. This grease maintains stable lubrication in environments with large swing angles, 1500 rpm oscillations, and long-term high loads of 2000 N.



Needle bearings in air compressor main units are typically subjected to frequent oscillations and high-rhythm stress, and during long-term use, they experience operating temperatures exceeding 100°C, even reaching 220°C under instantaneous extreme conditions. Ordinary greases are prone to problems such as high-temperature evaporation, shear thinning, or low-temperature hardening under these conditions. Jialede's PFPE grease possesses excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, low-temperature fluidity, and extremely strong mechanical stability, covering a wide operating range from -40°C to 280°C.

The customer's validation program includes:
* Low-temperature performance testing: After the sample is left to stand at -40°C for 8–24 hours, the rheological state of the grease is observed and the compressor starting current is measured.


* High-temperature durability testing: Continuous validation for at least 3 months under operating conditions exceeding 100°C.


Approximately 50g of grease is required for each compressor's needle roller bearing.

In fluorochemical and specialty gas industries, media containing hydrogen fluoride (HF) place extremely high demands on sealing and lubrication materials. Recently, a customer entered our store through a silicone sealing grease product link and directly asked whether we could supply YBS-1768, a PFPE-based sealing grease, for a valve application.


The customer explained that the valve medium was HF-containing gas, operating at 50–65°C, with EPDM gaskets. Such conditions require outstanding chemical inertness, corrosion resistance, and elastomer compatibility.
