When it comes to damping oil, you may think of it as a type of special lubricating grease. However, among You Bang Shou®many customers, damping grease is called in a variety of ways. Some call it resistance oil, and some call it shock-absorbing oil. Today , You Bang Shou® editor will explore with you what the difference is between damping grease and damping oil?
Different definitions:
Damping grease:
It is made of special polymer base oil, high-purity thickener and anti-rust, waterproof, corrosion-resistant and other additives through a special process. It is widely used in high-resistance lubrication . It provides blocking, buffering and waterproof sealing for slow switching mechanisms that require high resistance, making the moving parts operate more steadily, smoothly and accurately.
Damping oil:
Also known as resistance oil, shock absorbing oil, high-viscosity lubricating oil, etc., is made of high-purity inorganic thickener and special synthetic oil. It is a high-quality wide-temperature lubricating oil used for dampers. In various temperature environments, damping oil can maintain stable performance and ensure that the damper achieves a perfect damping effect.
Different characteristics:
Damping grease:
Excellent resistance stability and cushioning;
Good low temperature resistance and waterproof sealing, strong adhesion;
Compatible with most plastics, non-corrosive to metals, resistant to water, acid, alkali and dust;
A variety of viscosities are available, suitable for components or structures with different torque requirements.
Damping oil:
Excellent viscosity, lubricity and mechanical stability;
Maintains stable damping torque at different temperatures and rotates smoothly;
Good electrical insulation, compatible with plastic and rubber materials;
It has good vibration reduction, cushioning, sealing, waterproof and damping properties.
