Because perfluoropolyether grease is more sensitive to impurities, a specialized cleaning agent is required to remove oil, iron filings, and old grease residue from the tooth surfaces. Allow the surface to dry before proceeding.
Grease application must be performed when the gears are completely stopped. Use a dedicated grease gun to evenly and continuously apply perfluoropolyether grease to the meshing area of the gears, ensuring that both sides of each tooth are covered with grease. Avoid creating bubbles during application. The amount of grease applied must be precisely controlled. Perfluoropolyether grease has relatively poor fluidity. Too little grease will not form a complete oil film, while too much will increase operating resistance and affect heat dissipation. Generally, a suitable grease thickness for open gears is 0.3-0.8 mm. In enclosed gearboxes, the ideal amount of grease should cover 1/4-1/3 of the gear diameter. The specific amount can be adjusted based on the gearbox volume and gear speed.



After filling, start the equipment and idle for 5-8 minutes to allow the perfluoropolyether grease to fully distribute and form a stable oil film on the gears during operation. Then, shut down the machine for inspection to ensure that the grease coverage on the gear surfaces is complete. Also, check for any unusual noise or grease leakage. Any issues should be addressed promptly. In fluorochemical and specialty gas industries, media containing hydrogen fluoride (HF) place extremely high demands on sealing and lubrication materials. Recently, a customer entered our store through a silicone sealing grease product link and directly asked whether we could supply YBS-1768, a PFPE-based sealing grease, for a valve application.


The customer explained that the valve medium was HF-containing gas, operating at 50–65°C, with EPDM gaskets. Such conditions require outstanding chemical inertness, corrosion resistance, and elastomer compatibility.
