Perfluoropolyether (PFPE, English name Perfluom Polyethers) was first studied in the 1960s and is a relatively special type of perfluoropolymer compound.

Its average molecular weight ranges from 500 to 15,000. There are only three elements, C, F, and O, in the molecule. It has the characteristics of heat resistance, oxidation resistance, radiation resistance, corrosion resistance, and non-flammability. It is used as an extremely reliable lubricant in cutting-edge fields such as military, aerospace, and nuclear industry. Today, perfluoropolyether is widely used in chemical, electronic, electrical, mechanical, nuclear, and aerospace fields.Because the fluorine atoms in perfluoropolyether have strong electronegativity, most of the carbon chain is shielded by fluorine atoms. Compared with hydrocarbon polyethers, it has the advantages of high density, low surface tension, low volatility, good viscosity, non-flammability, good dielectric properties, good lubricity, and is well compatible with plastics, rubber, and metals. It is a low molecular weight fluorinated polymer, and its viscosity is closely related to its molecular structure and average molecular weight. PFPE with a larger molecular weight has low volatility, a wider liquid temperature range and excellent viscosity-temperature characteristics.



Jialede perfluoropolyether grease has a stable molecular structure, and its high temperature resistance, fire resistance, radiation resistance and chemical resistance are also particularly excellent. During a conversation with Factory Manager Zhang, a Jialede sales manager learned that one of his factory's PCB baking tunnel ovens was experiencing chain lubrication issues. The manager recommended the company's YBS-1103 perfluoropolyether oil. The equipment uses three rows of large roller chains and operates in a high-temperature environment of 80°C. Zhang previously faced numerous issues using liquid lubricants:

The machine's automatic lubricator struggled to accurately control the amount of oil injected.


The oil easily leaked onto the floor, causing waste and pollution.


The lubricant had specific requirements: low volatility and long-lasting lubrication, requiring no re-lubrication for six months to a year. Furthermore, the company sought to avoid dust generation from drying solid lubricants or rapid drying of liquid lubricants.

After a detailed discussion with laboratory technicians, the Jialede product manager and laboratory technicians, considering the customer's equipment operating conditions—consistent operation at 80°C, demanding chain lubrication, low volatility requirements, and long lubrication intervals—decided to recommend YBS-1103 perfluoropolyether lubricant. Laboratory validation data showed that YBS-1103 fully met the technical requirements for this application scenario. Factory Manager Zhang, upon repurchasing the product, stated that it not only met the performance requirements for low volatility and long-lasting lubrication, but also effectively reduced lubricant loss for the factory, truly achieving cost reduction and increased efficiency.

In scenarios where pumps are vacuum-circulated to simulate space capsule environments, the performance of the coolant directly determines experimental accuracy and equipment stability. Perfluoropolyether lubricant, with its unique molecular structure, is an ideal choice for this trial.


Its core advantage lies primarily in its extreme low-temperature fluidity. At a target temperature of -70°C, perfluoropolyether lubricant maintains extremely low viscosity, maintaining a stable flow. This effectively prevents circulation blockage caused by oil solidification at low temperatures, ensuring continuous and efficient operation of the pump's vacuum circulation system and perfectly suiting the requirements of simulating low-temperature space environments.

Perfluoropolyether lubricant also exhibits excellent radiation resistance, stably withstanding long-term exposure to X-rays and G-rays. In radiation environments, perfluoropolyether lubricant exhibits no molecular chain breakage or performance degradation, ensuring the chemical stability and service life of the coolant in simulated space radiation environments and reliably guaranteeing the accuracy of experimental data.


For the estimated usage of 50 kg, the high adaptability of this perfluoropolyether lubricant is further highlighted. Its extremely low vapor pressure in a vacuum environment can effectively reduce volatilization losses and avoid the impact of perfluoropolyether lubricant volatilization on vacuum degree. At the same time, the usage of 50KG can meet the long-term operation requirements of small and medium-sized pump circulation systems, taking into account both economy and practicality, and providing key support for the smooth implementation of space capsule environment simulation experiments.

Recently, Jialede received a request from a customer specializing in automotive powertrain systems. This customer was seeking a fluorine grease with high shear viscosity, wide temperature range adaptability, and excellent damping properties for lubricating the metal-nylon mating parts in spline structures.


The customer's operating environment is extremely demanding: the operating temperature range is from -40°C to 160°C, and at high speeds of 4000-6000 rpm, the splines exhibit both circumferential and axial movement. The existing grease exhibited "surge" under high shear conditions, leading to uneven transmission, increased noise, and accelerated wear. The customer desired an equivalent product with performance similar to or even better than Klüber HPX 93-1202 and planned to conduct initial testing with approximately 500 grams of samples, with an estimated annual usage of 600 kg.


To address this need, our laboratory provided three candidate samples:
YBS-1768 Perfluoropolyether Grease – possessing excellent high-temperature stability and chemical resistance, suitable for long-term lubrication in extreme environments.


YB-NBU12 No. 2 Synthetic Grease – slightly harder texture, with good mechanical stability and protective properties.


YBS-1743 New Fluorinated Grease – based on NBU12 grease, with the addition of 5% ultrafine PTFE powder, significantly improving low-speed damping and friction smoothness.


Through targeted formulation design, we strive to achieve a balance between high-temperature shear stability, low-temperature starting torque, and damping performance at the nylon-metal friction interface. As industrial robots continue to evolve towards higher speeds, compactness, and higher reliability, gearbox lubrication materials are facing increasingly stringent requirements. Even in multi-metal mixed contact environments, it maintains good adhesion and oil film integrity, avoiding lubrication failure and material corrosion risks.
